This year marks the first for the Phnom Penh Activities Community with 8 International Schools participating. The reason for using the word "activities" instead of Athletics or Sports is because our hope is that this community of schools would connect various times throughout the school year for more than just Sport. Many of these schools are involved in MUN and we hope to provide an opportunity to meet for a Young Leaders Summit in the future.
Our mission is to provide a league for international schools in Phnom Penh, fostering friendly competition in volleyball, basketball, football (soccer), cross country, track and field and swimming.

PPAC8 prioritizes fair competition by ensuring students participate in their appropriate age groups.
Strict Age Verification: Students must play in their designated age group based on a defined birth year cut-off.
Maintaining Level Playing Field: Younger players are not permitted to compete in older age groups, and vice versa. This ensures a balanced playing field for all participants.
Team Composition: Once team selections are finalized (A and B teams), players cannot switch between teams to maintain fairness and team cohesion. The exception to this is when an A team player is injured and is required to join the A team. Once they play in the higher division they must remain in the A team.
PPAC8 holds three distinct sports seasons throughout the school year. Each season features a middle school and high school competition, while two seasons also include a primary age group category.
These seasons typically last 6-9 weeks and culminate in a thrilling two-weekend format: a grading tournament and a final tournament. Tournaments usually take place on Friday evenings or Saturdays during the day.
For sports like Track and Field, Cross Country, and Badminton, the season focuses on a single competition date when different group ages compete simultaneously.
Schools are encouraged to organize friendly games leading up to the official grading and final tournaments. These friendly matches are a fantastic opportunity for players to develop their skills and team chemistry, although their results don't impact the overall team ranking.
